Flying Women

Lilly STEINSCHNEIDER und Bozena LAGLER already received their PPL 1910/11 in Austria. Further courageous women followed them such as Hanna REITSCH, Elli BEINHORN and the German female pilot Milli BEESE.

First female balloon pilot of Austria was Josefine HINTERSTOISSER. World-wide there been many fearless aviators such as Beate UHSE or the American Amelia EARHART. First Russian female pilot was Lydia SWERJOWA.

Anni HOLICKE was Austria`s first parachutist.
