Airships

The first airship built in Austria was developed in Wiener Neustadt. In 1865 Paul HAENLEIN received a patent on an airship, which was operated by a gas prime mover.

Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin built from 1900 to 1937 199 airships in Friedrichshafen, which were called Zeppelins after their inventor.
